The application process for the NEET PG 2023 is closed now. However, other important dates in regards to NEET PG 2023 are as follows:

Final Edit Window for submitted applications

14th to 17th February, 2023.

Admit Card Issue

27th February, 2023

  • NEET PG examination is meant for admission to PG courses in medicine for the following:
    • 50% of All India quota seats for all States or Union territories of India
    • All Private Medical Colleges, Universities or Deemed Universities of India.
    • Armed Forces Medical Institutions
    • State quota seats for all States/UTs of India
    • Post MBBS DNB/NBE Diploma Courses
  • NEET PG is not meant for admission to the following institutions
    • AIIMS, New Delhi
    • Other AIIMS
    • PGIMER, Chandigarh
    • JIPMER, Puducherry
    • NIMHANS, Bengaluru
    • Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum
  • No other State Government/Private Medical College or University shall conduct any separate entrance examination for PG admissions in medical courses.

Eligibility to get Admission in PG courses under NRI Quota:

  • A Candidate can apply for medical admission under NRI quota if:
    • He/She is of Indian origin but lives or studies in a foreign country.
    • The parent(s) of the candidate are Indian Government employees living abroad on deputation.
    • OCIs or PIOs and their children are considered under NRI quota.
    • Candidates who were born in a foreign country but their parents are Indians.
    • Candidates born of Indian parents but living abroad due to employment or business opportunities.
  • A Candidate must have a valid passport.
  • The candidate must have qualified the NEET PG examination
  • For candidates applying under NRI sponsorship, a direct blood relation with the financial supporter is mandatory.

How to apply for NRI quota seats for PG medical admissions?

To be eligible for counselling, one needs to register on the official website of MCC Home - Medical CounsellingCommittee (MCC) and fill in the required details, choice filling of the course and the institution followed by payment of fees. The seats will be allotted according to the NEET PG score, availability of seats in the chosen category, reservation policies etc.

There will be 3 rounds of counselling for PG medical admissions in Central as well as Deemed Universities. In addition, there may be a mop up round at the College level to fill in any vacant seats.
