The Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy is one of the top five medical universities in Vietnam and is the first government medical college in the country to admit Indian students for MBBS. The CTUMP has expanded from a 200+ staff and training facility for roughly 3000 students in 2003 to 446 faculty lecturers and 657 staff members in the University Hospital to teach and train about 8000 undergraduate and 1000 post graduate students. This growth has been achieved through constant hard work and improvement. Currently, it offers 45 programmes for specialists at levels I and II as well as resident doctors, 14 programmes for Masters and PhDs, 2 programmes for working individuals and 8 full-time programmes based on the credits system.

Eligibility Criteria for MBBS admissions at CTUMP:

  • Applicant must be at least 17 years of age
  • Minimum 50% aggregate in Class 12th Science subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  • Passed Class 12th from a recognised board with English being the medium of instruction.
  • Qualifying NEET examination
